About the Lab

Intervention optimization is an emerging scientific field that integrates ideas from behavioral science, engineering, public health, economics, decision science, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. The field develops innovative methods for designing and optimizing interventions to be effective, scalable, efficient, and capable of achieving meaningful real-world impact.

CADIO Lab welcomes students and trainees who want to shape the future of intervention optimization. Our mission is to prepare the next generation of scholars by developing methods, applying them to important public health challenges, and fostering an interdisciplinary community dedicated to advancing the science of intervention optimization.
